At EterniTea, we want to do more for you and for our nature. With this initiative, we have dedicated our
efforts to making environment-friendly, ergonomic packaging of our products, including our favorite Tea

We believe that the quality of our herbal teas will speak for itself, and we do not need a tag to convey
who we are and what we stand for! That is why we contribute our efforts to preserving the environment
more than just emphasizing the looks!
With this aim, we are here to launch our first-ever biodegradable packaging for teabags. We use a newly
developed material for our packaging known as ‘SOILON,’ which enables you to play your part in saving
the environment!
What is Soilon?
Soilon is a biodegradable polylactic acid derived from corn starch. Rather than using our limited fossil
resources, it is produced from reproducible, organic material, making it an ideal choice for us. It is
manufactured after years of research and testing by a Japanese company called Yamanaka Industry Co.
Ltd.
It is used to make a mesh-like material that we use in packaging our tea bags. It is made by two of the
largest manufacturers in the world, and its distribution is also worldwide! We do not even use the
plastic strings conventionally used, thanks to the development of Soilon!
Why We Use Soilon?
There are many cheap and more widely available packaging options available in the market. But among
all these, why did we choose Soilon?
There are a number of reasons!
• It is 100% Safe, Biodegradable, and Cruelty-free.
• It allows us to create Transparent Packaging and the tea leaves are visible through the
packaging.
• It is proven to emit no harmful substance in boiling water.
• No adhesive is required in completing this packaging.
• There is no difference in the structure and use of Soilon than the conventional teabags.
• It degrades naturally into carbon dioxide and water.

Is Soilon Safe to Use for Packaging?
Soilon is not only environment-friendly, but also it is extremely safe! It is approved by the Japanese
Safety Regulations as a wrapping material. Japanese Food Research Laboratories even conducted
numerous tests that affirm the safety of using Soilon! Moreover, FDA even approved of the base
material used for manufacturing Soilon.
Even the Ink we use for the packaging is classified as non-hazardous and completely safe according to
OSHA CFR 1910.1200.
Thus, there is no room for doubts regarding how useful it can be!
